The CII Mining and Construction Equipment Summit held on October 19, 2023, in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, saw participation from over 250 industry leaders and innovators. Prominent companies such as Thyssenkrupp, Komatsu, Thermofisher Scientific, Tata Hitachi, Coal India, Hyundai, KSB Pumps, Sany, Tega Industries, and Larsen & Toubro were in attendance. Odisha's Chief Secretary, Pradeep Kumar Jena, highlighted the state's mining revenue growth from INR 10,000 crore to INR 49,000 crore over three years and outlined plans to become a 100-million-ton steel-producing state by the decade's end. Anurag Jain, Secretary of Road Transport and Highways, emphasized the need to reduce logistics costs from 14% to match international standards of 8%. Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary of Industry for Odisha, noted the state's attraction of INR 20.1 lakh crore in investments during FY'23, positioning it second nationally.
